ASI 105-14

The ASI 105-14 is a front-mounted security mirror for correctional, detention, and behavioral health restrooms where glass is not allowed. The reflective panel is 20 gauge stainless steel with a #8 mirror polish, set in a 14 gauge type 304 stainless steel frame with a satin finish. Overall size is 12 in. by 16 in. by 5/8 in. (305 x 406 x 16 mm).

The frame corners are welded and ground smooth, leaving no seam to pry at and no sharp edge. Front mounting fasteners are furnished: Torx vandal-resistant 1/4-20 x 2 machine screws that need a matching driver to remove. Because the unit mounts from the front, it can be installed and replaced from inside the cell or room without access to a chase.

Polished stainless steel will not shatter, so it removes the hazard a glass mirror presents in a secure area. ASI lists the 105-14 as ADA compliant; mount it at the same heights used for standard accessible mirrors. Framed security mirrors in other sizes are listed separately.
