About Commercial Safety Equipment

Safety equipment is governed by OSHA 1910 (general industry) and a stack of ANSI consensus standards: Z358.1 for emergency eyewash and showers, Z87.1 for eye and face protection, Z89.1 for head protection, Z41 for foot protection. We quote the fixtures and PPE that meet those standards, from plumbed eyewash stations and tepid-water mixing valves down to bump caps, safety glasses, hi-vis vests, and first-aid kits.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. ANSI Z358.1 requires water between 60°F and 100°F. Cold tap water can cause hypothermia or shock during a 15-minute flush; hot water can scald. A thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) is the standard solution.
