What is a toilet accessory schedule?

It is the table in a set of drawings, or in the Division 10 toilet accessories specification (MasterFormat section 10 28 13), that lists each accessory, how many go in each room, and where and at what height each one mounts. This builder writes one from your fixture counts and prices every line.

What accessories does a commercial restroom need?

Accepted Answer

The builder starts from a typical layout. Inside each compartment: a toilet tissue dispenser, a seat cover dispenser, and a coat hook, plus a sanitary napkin disposal in women's and family rooms. In the wheelchair accessible compartment: a 42 in. side wall grab bar and a 36 in. rear wall grab bar, and grab bars in an ambulatory compartment once the fixture count calls for one. At the lavatories: a soap dispenser and a mirror at each, and paper towels or hand dryers with a waste receptacle. Baby changing stations, vendors, shelves, shower accessories, and janitor closet items are options you switch on. Every line can be edited or removed.

Can I use it for a Division 10 takeoff?

For the restroom part, yes. Toilet compartments and urinal screens come out as quoted lines, and every accessory line gets a quantity and a live price. Lockers, fire extinguisher cabinets, and visual display boards are not in the builder yet, so list them in the quote request and we price the whole package together.

Do I need an account?

No. The whole schedule lives in the page link, so you can bookmark it or send it to someone on the project, and nothing reaches us until you send it as a quote.

Where do the mounting heights come from?

Accepted Answer

Every height on the schedule is pulled from our ADA mounting height pages, which quote the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design word for word and link the section. Open the height on any row to read the quote.

Question 6

What is the difference between a required line and a typical line?

Accepted Answer

A required line is one the ADA Standards call for once the room has the fixtures you entered, such as the grab bars in the accessible compartment. A typical line is trade convention, such as one soap dispenser per lavatory. Both can be edited or removed.

Why do some lines say quoted instead of showing a price?

Accepted Answer

Toilet compartments and urinal screens are priced from the elevation, so they go to the quote rather than the cart. Send the schedule as a quote request and we price those lines with the rest.

Question 8

Can I switch brands after the schedule is built?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Change the brand or finish at the top and every line switches to that maker's product for the same job. Any line can also be swapped for another product in its category, and the link at the top of the schedule keeps every change you made.

Does the tool decide how many accessible compartments I need?

Accepted Answer

It applies Section 213.3.1 of the ADA Standards to the fixture counts you enter and shows the minimum. You can raise either count if the plans call for more.
