About Tackboards & Bulletin Boards
A tackboard is the board that gets used every day and replaced only when the surface stops holding pins. Natural cork is the standard commercial tack surface: light, rot resistant, compressible and recoverable, and fire resistant in its natural state, with a honeycomb structure and flexible membrane that closes up after a pin is pulled. Vinyl tack surfaces add a lightly embossed woven finish that cleans easily, and Forbo bulletin board material, made from oxidized linseed oil, resin, and finely ground cork, is self-healing and does not attract dust.
