About Tackboards & Bulletin Boards
Framed cork, vinyl, and Forbo tack surfaces for classrooms, corridors, break rooms, and healthcare units.
A tackboard is the board that gets used every day and replaced only when the surface stops holding pins. Natural cork is the standard commercial tack surface: light, rot resistant, compressible and recoverable, and fire resistant in its natural state, with a honeycomb structure and flexible membrane that closes up after a pin is pulled. Vinyl tack surfaces add a lightly embossed woven finish that cleans easily, and Forbo bulletin board material, made from oxidized linseed oil, resin, and finely ground cork, is self-healing and does not attract dust. We list ASI Visual Display Products tackboards in the Series 9800 frame with a 3/4 in. exposed frame, in sizes from 2 ft. x 3 ft. through 4 ft. x 12 ft. Every board page gives the surface, the frame, the size, and the lead time, so a schedule can be filled line by line.

Tackboards & Bulletin Boards: common questions
Natural cork is the traditional commercial tack surface: light, compressible, and recoverable, so pinholes close after pins are pulled. Vinyl adds a lightly embossed woven finish that is cleanable and fire resistant, which suits corridors and healthcare spaces. Forbo is made from oxidized linseed oil, resin, and finely ground cork, and is self-healing, bacteriostatic, and does not attract dust.
