Bobrick B-8221

Where the counter is thin and sink traffic is moderate, the Bobrick B-8221 is the ClassicSeries counter-mounted manual soap dispenser with a 20-fl. oz. (0.6-L) container and a 4 in. (100mm) bright-polished spout. It mounts through decks up to 1 in. (25mm) thick and fills from the top, so a custodian never has to reach under the counter.

The dispenser uses a high-impact-resistant ABS plastic body and shank with a shatter-resistant polyethylene container, and the whole assembly is corrosion resistant. A locking cover on top resists vandalism and keeps the soap supply closed to patrons. The spout turns freely, so it can be aimed over the basin or swung aside for cleaning.

ADA 309.4 limits operating force to 5 lbf; mount the spout within the 15 to 48 in. reach range in ADA 308. Typical placements are hotel guest baths, small office restrooms, and salon or clinic sinks with laminate counters. A larger-capacity version for thicker counters is listed separately.
