Bobrick vs ASI vs Bradley: How the Three Washroom Accessory Lines Compare

An even-handed comparison of the three main commercial washroom accessory lines, with a straight recommendation for each kind of job.

Updated September 15, 2026

Three names cover most commercial washroom accessory schedules: Bobrick, ASI, and Bradley. All three build in stainless steel, all three publish technical data sheets, CSI three part specifications, and BIM or CAD files, and all three clear a submittal review. What separates them is series breadth, finish range, mounting options, and which line the building already runs. We list all three: 1,215 washroom accessories, 483 Bradley, 454 ASI, and 278 Bobrick.

Bobrick

Bobrick sells by named series, and each one is aimed at a different kind of project.

  • ClassicSeries. The value line. Bobrick calls it "the standard of value" and says it "offers the largest selection of models for all Type-304 washroom accessories", recommended for "standard-use buildings, commercial offices, and institutional and industrial environments".
  • TrimLineSeries. "Clean, unadulterated lines with concealed flanges and flush locks on most models", aimed at "contemporary environments, from prestige buildings and hospitality environments to healthcare and retail properties".
  • ConturaSeries. A "gentle 27° curvilinear design" with flush tumbler locks, which Bobrick puts on corporate headquarters, Class-A commercial buildings, civic icons, and performing arts centers.
  • Matte Black. Powder coated stainless steel, which Bobrick describes as designed for inside the cubicle and outside the cubicle.

Bobrick has gone furthest of the three on black hardware, and most of the matte black we list is Bobrick, including soap dispensers and recessed toilet tissue dispensers. Bobrick also builds toilet partitions, so a restroom can come from one manufacturer.

ASI

ASI collections differ more in form than in grade, and most are offered in every mounting style.

  • Traditional. ASI describes it as "the time-honored Traditional Collection provides exceptional value, offering a broad array of items", available recessed, semi-recessed, and surface mounted. It is the workhorse: the 0457 towel dispensers, the 0458 waste receptacles, and the 0467 towel and waste cabinets all sit in it.
  • Roval. "Arch-shaped surfaces" for restrooms where the accessories are part of the design, offered surface mounted, semi-recessed, recessed, and partition mounted on selected items.
  • Piatto. ASI's flush collection. ASI says the design "makes Piatto completely flush with the wall, as its silent doors do not have any protrusion", with phenolic doors in matte black and white.
  • Simplicity covers plainer dispensers such as the 6452 and 6457, and ASI treats partition mounted hardware as a real category: the 0032 twin hide-a-roll dispenser serves two compartments from inside the partition.

ASI also manufactures partitions, lockers, and visual displays, so one vendor covers more of a Division 10 package. Its grab bars and mirrors come in long size ranges, which matters when a layout will not take a standard length.

Bradley

Bradley is the largest of the three on our site, organized around design families plus a fast ship program.

  • Diplomat. Bradley describes "over 50 models with unique dual curve geometry" with "recessed, semi-recessed, or surface-mounted options" in satin finish stainless steel. For one geometry across a long schedule, this is the easiest of the three to hold.
  • Elvari. The design line: a pill shape profile, a magnetic BradLock closure with no key holes, anti-slam covers, and flangeless concealed mount grab bars. Bradley offers it in six colors, satin stainless plus brushed black, brass, bronze, nickel, and stainless.
  • Contemporary Series. Satin stainless in recessed and surface versions, the plain spec when the job needs paper towel dispensers that match and nothing more.
  • Aerix and Aerix+ hand dryers, plus a security line for detention and transit work.

Bradley is also a plumbing fixture manufacturer, which is why its accessories show up where the lavatory systems and faucets are Bradley too. Many models are flagged BradEx Fast Ship, and Bradley publishes collar instructions for converting one cabinet between mounting styles.

Where they are the same

More than the marketing suggests: stainless bodies, keyed or tumbler locks, published ADA compliance, capacities within a roll or two of each other, and full submittal packages. What does not mix cleanly is visible hardware on one wall: flange edges, lock faces, and door radii differ enough to catch the eye. Keep one line per restroom, and on a replacement match what is already mounted, because openings and collars rarely line up between brands.

How to choose

  • Budget driven school, office, or industrial restroom in satin stainless. Bobrick ClassicSeries, positioned for exactly that, with enough models that you rarely substitute.
  • One consistent look across a long schedule. Bradley Diplomat or ASI Traditional. Both carry the same geometry through every category and all three mounting styles.
  • Color is part of the design. Bradley Elvari for brushed metal tones, Bobrick Matte Black if the hardware runs to black.
  • Hospitality, lobby, or civic restroom. Bobrick TrimLineSeries or ConturaSeries, or ASI Roval.
  • You control the wall and want flush detailing. ASI, which builds an entire collection around zero protrusion.
  • Detention, transit, or heavy abuse. Bradley and ASI both publish security accessories for chase mounting. Start there rather than in a standard series.
  • Replacement in an occupied building. Match the brand and series on the wall. This one is not close: a different brand means a different opening.

There is no overall winner here, and all three pass a spec review. Send us the accessory schedule and we will price it in all three lines so you can compare like for like. Request a quote and we will flag where a substitution changes the rough-in.
