ASI 1002

The ASI 1002 is a counter-mounted paper towel dispenser in stainless steel for commercial lavatory counters where a wall unit is not wanted at the sink. It holds and dispenses one package of C-fold paper towels. The face plate measures 14-1/4 in. by 6 in. and is 3/32 in. thick, and it drops into a counter opening of 12-1/2 in. x 4-1/4 in.

Users pull towels manually through flap doors in the face plate, and the supply keeps coming until the package is used up. A spring-actuated towel carrier below the counter keeps steady pressure on the stack so each towel presents at the flaps. Refilling is done from above by pushing a new stack of towels downward through the flap doors, with no cabinet door or key involved.

ASI lists the dispenser as ADA compliant. Because it sits in the counter rather than on the wall, it adds no projection into the circulation path covered by ADA 307.2. The flap doors sit at counter height, which typically falls inside the 15 to 48 in. reach range of ADA 308. It suits hotel, office, and healthcare lavatory counters where a clean deck is part of the design.
