ASI 8165

The ASI 8165 is a surface-mounted roll paper towel holder for kitchens, break rooms, janitor closets, and utility washrooms that use standard roll towel. It is a heavy-duty aluminum casting with a satin-matte, silver-grey finish, not a closed cabinet. It holds a standard paper towel roll up to 6 in. in diameter and measures 13 in. wide by 1-3/4 in. high with a 4 in. projection.

The holder is designed for controlled delivery of towels rather than free spinning. The roll rides on a molded plastic spindle fitted with a concealed locking device, which keeps the roll from being lifted off the holder and walked away. With no cabinet around the roll, the remaining supply is visible at a glance and there is no door to unlock at refill time.

ASI lists the holder as ADA compliant. Its 4 in. projection matches the maximum allowed by ADA 307.2 for wall-mounted objects with a leading edge between 27 and 80 in. above the floor, so it can sit along a circulation path. Mount it within the 15 to 48 in. reach range of ADA 308 where accessible use is required.
