ASI 8374

The ASI 8374 is an automatic, touchless roll towel dispenser mechanism for commercial restrooms. It dispenses one standard towel roll 8 in. wide by 8 in. in diameter and up to 800 ft. long, plus an 8 in. wide stub roll up to 4 in. in diameter so the tail of the old roll is used up rather than thrown out. The mechanism measures 12-5/16 in. wide, 15-1/16 in. high and 8-11/16 in. deep.

Users place their hands in the sensor zone and the unit feeds out a length of towel. The owner sets that length, the delay between activations, and a paper saver mode with switches inside the unit, which controls consumption across a building. An internal cut-off bar separates each towel. Power comes from four D-size batteries, which are not supplied, or from an internal low-voltage adapter sold separately as part 72-ACA. The adapter is C-UL-US and CE approved, accepts 110-240VAC at 50/60 Hz, and delivers 6VDC at 2A.

ASI lists the mechanism as ADA compliant. Touch-free activation means users do not press a lever, the kind of operable part ADA 309.4 limits to 5 lbf of force. Choose battery power for retrofit locations and the adapter where an outlet is already available in the wall.
