ASI 8522

The ASI 8522 is a lever-operated roll paper towel dispenser in stainless steel that mounts on the wall surface. It is the mechanical choice for commercial restrooms that do not want batteries or sensors. It takes 8 in. or 9 in. wide rolls up to 800 ft. long. The cabinet measures 14 in. wide, 16 in. high and 9-1/2 in. deep.

Each pull of the lever feeds a pre-set length of towel, and towels keep coming until the roll is finished. The owner can shorten the feed length for economy with a supplied pin that limits the lever stroke. A full roll can be loaded above a partial roll. When the partial roll runs out, the new roll starts automatically, so the dispenser does not sit empty between service rounds. The locking door prevents unauthorized access to the roll or removal of the stock.

ASI lists the dispenser as ADA compliant. As a lever-operated unit, its lever is an operable part subject to the 5 lbf limit of ADA 309.4 and should sit within the 15 to 48 in. reach range of ADA 308. With a 9-1/2 in. depth, keep it out of circulation paths where the 4 in. projection rule of ADA 307.2 applies. It suits schools, plants, and public buildings that prefer a dispenser with no electronics to maintain.
