Bobrick B-2840

The Bobrick B-2840 is a surface-mounted two-roll toilet tissue dispenser with a utility shelf on top, made of satin-finish stainless steel. It holds rolls up to 5-1/2 in. (140mm) in diameter (1800 sheets) and gives a stall a place to set a phone, purse, or bag where the compartment has no other shelf.

The shelf has 1/2 in. (13mm) returns and a hemmed front edge, so there is no raw sheet edge to cut a hand or snag clothing. Rolls sit on chrome-plated plastic spindles under the shelf. The unit is 16 in. W x 4 in. H x 5 in. D and surface mounts, which makes it a straightforward add to an existing compartment.

Position the dispenser so the tissue outlet is 7 to 9 in. in front of the water closet and 15 to 48 in. above the floor, out of the grab bar zone, as ADA 604.7 describes. It suits hotel, office, and healthcare restrooms where a shelf in the stall is a convenience users notice. Two-roll dispensers without the shelf are listed separately.
