Bobrick B-842

The Bobrick B-842 is a counter-mounted automatic foam soap dispenser from the Designer Series, finished in matte black over a die-cast zinc body. It is touch-free and top-fill, so it belongs on lavatory counters in hotels, restaurants, and corporate restrooms that specify black plumbing trim and want no hands on the dispenser.

Filling happens from above the counter, and the dispenser runs on universal bulk foam soaps rather than proprietary cartridges, which Bobrick cites for cost-in-use savings. A portion control feature balances patron satisfaction against the operating budget.

Bobrick lists the unit as ADA compliant; locate the sensor within the 15 to 48 in. reach range in ADA 308. A new installation needs a 1-3/8 in. (35mm) mounting hole; in a retrofit, enlarge the existing hole to 1-3/8 in. with a hole saw if necessary. A matching automatic faucet is made in the same finish, and Bobrick also makes the dispenser in polished chrome, polished nickel, brushed nickel, and polished brass.
