Koala Kare KB208-02

The Koala Kare KB208-02 is an oval baby changing station in matte black, built for restrooms that see misuse: schools, parks, and high-traffic retail and foodservice. The shell is rotationally molded low-density polyethylene (LDPE), which flexes under impact instead of cracking. Closed, the unit is 4 in. deep; open, the bed extends 21 in. from the wall.

A steel pivot rod runs inside a metal tube, giving the hinge long-term strength and resistance to fatigue. The interior has no compartments or openings, so there is nowhere to hide or wedge anything, and cleaning and inspection take a wipe and a glance. A gas spring controls opening and closing. Safety straps are snap-lock nylon and can be replaced in the field if cut or damaged. Dual bag hooks are integrated into the unit, and mounting hardware is included.

Koala rates the KB208 for children up to 50 lb (22.7 kg), and it exceeds the 100 lb static load requirement of ASTM F2285. It meets ADA requirements when properly mounted. It is designed and assembled in the USA, and a grey version is listed separately.
