Description
The Koala Kare KB310-SSRE-MBLK is a recessed horizontal baby changing station with a one-piece stainless steel exterior in matte black. It is specified for airports, office buildings, hotels, and healthcare restrooms where a built-in unit should match other recessed stainless accessories. The unit is 41-5/16 in. wide and 26-7/32 in. high, projects 2-23/32 in. when closed, and extends 17-13/32 in. when open.
The exterior is deep-drawn from a single piece of 18-8, type 304, 18-gauge (1.2 mm) uniform grain stainless steel. That leaves no seams, weld lines, or sharp edges. The logo is laser etched and will not fade or scratch off. A concealed solid steel frame with 1 in. steel tubing carries the load. Two integrated handles open the bed with less than 5 lb of force and stay below 27 in. when open, which keeps the unit cane detectable. A dual-cavity dispenser holds bed liners and Koala Diaper Pouch disposal bags, and a stainless steel bag hook mounts beside the unit. The polypropylene changing surface is infused with Microban antimicrobial protection.
Koala rates the station for children up to 50 lb (22.7 kg). It has been tested to 200 lb with minimal deflection and exceeds ASTM F2285 static load requirements. It meets ADA, Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), and ASTM requirements when properly installed, and it is designed and assembled in the USA.
