Bobrick B-750

The Bobrick B-750 AirCraft is a recessed automatic hand dryer with a cast iron body and a white vitreous enamel finish, a heavy, traditional dryer for public restrooms that see hard use. It mounts recessed in the wall and starts from an automatic sensor. Bobrick lists it as ADA compliant.

Cast iron does not dent, and the white vitreous enamel finish is fired onto the body rather than painted, so it holds its color under years of cleaning. Because the body is recessed, nothing protrudes to be kicked, hung on, or pried loose. The 115V AC model draws 20 Amp at 50/60 Hz and 2300 Watts and is cULus Listed. The 230V AC model draws 9-10 Amp at 50/60 Hz, 1900-2400 Watts, and is cULus Listed, VDE approved, and CE marked. Note the 20 Amp draw on the 115V unit and plan a dedicated circuit for it.

Recessing is the surest way to meet ADA 307.2, which limits wall-mounted objects to a 4 in. projection where the leading edge sits 27 to 80 in. above the floor. Confirm the rough opening from Bobrick's technical data before framing the wall.
