About Hand Dryers

A hand dryer replaces paper towels, waste receptacles, and the labor that goes with them, and the current generation dries hands in 10 to 15 seconds. We carry hand dryers from Bobrick, Bradley, ASI, and Gamco: high-speed surface-mounted dryers built to project 4 in. or less so they meet ADA Section 307.2 without an alcove, recessed dryers that sit flush in a framed opening, and conventional warm-air dryers for lower-traffic restrooms. Covers are cast aluminum, stainless steel, or steel in satin, white, and matte black. Most models are available in 110-120V and 208-240V versions and are listed to UL standards; product pages state voltage, motor wattage, dry time, and sound level so an engineer can size the circuit and an architect can check the projection. HEPA filtration and adjustable heat and speed are available on several lines.

Hand Dryers: common questions

Only if they project 4 in. or less from the wall when mounted with the leading edge between 27 and 80 in. above the floor, per ADA Section 307.2. The ADA-compliant high-speed dryers we list are built to that depth. Deeper dryers must be recessed or placed in an alcove.
