About Restroom Shelves

A stainless steel shelf above a lavatory or in a shower gives users a place for a phone or toiletries and gives facilities something that will not break. We carry shelves from Bobrick, Bradley, ASI, and Gamco in 18 and 20-gauge type 304 stainless steel, 5, 6, and 8 in. deep and 12 to 36 in. wide, surface-mounted with concealed brackets or recessed into a framed opening. Raised front and side edges keep items from sliding off; backsplash versions protect the wall behind a lavatory; towel shelves with a bar below serve hospitality and locker rooms. Where a shelf sits in a circulation path between 27 and 80 in. above the floor, ADA Section 307.2 limits projection to 4 in., so deeper shelves belong above lavatories or in alcoves.
