Bobrick B-9806 x 36.MBLK

The Bobrick B-9806 x 36.MBLK is a 36 in. (914 mm) straight grab bar from the Fino Collection, with 1-1/2 in. (38 mm) diameter tubing and a powder-coated matte black finish over stainless steel. It is meant for restrooms designed around black fixtures and accessories, where a satin stainless bar would break the look. Bobrick lists it as ADA compliant.

The bar body is machined type 303 stainless steel at 14 gauge (2 mm). Flange hardware is concealed, so the bar reads as a clean black line with no visible screws. Bobrick lists the depth at 1-1/2 in.

At 36 in. it meets the ADA 604.5.2 minimum for the rear wall bar of an accessible water closet. The 1-1/2 in. diameter satisfies ADA 609.2. ADA 609.4 places the gripping surface 33 to 36 in. above the floor, and ADA 609.8 calls for the installation to resist 250 lb applied at any point.
