Bobrick B-9806 x 42.MBLK

For the side wall of a black-finished accessible compartment, the Bobrick B-9806 x 42.MBLK delivers a 42 in. (1067 mm) Fino Collection grab bar in 1-1/2 in. (38 mm) diameter. The finish is powder-coated matte black, and the design keeps to clean lines with concealed flange hardware for a minimalist look. Bobrick lists the bar as ADA compliant.

Under the coating the body is machined type 303 stainless steel in 14 gauge (2 mm). The powder coat gives the stainless a uniform matte black surface, and the concealed flanges leave no exposed screws. Depth is listed at 1-1/2 in.

ADA 604.5.1 calls for the side wall bar to be at least 42 in. long, located within 12 in. of the rear wall and extending at least 54 in. from it. The 1-1/2 in. diameter meets ADA 609.2. The top of the gripping surface belongs 33 to 36 in. above the floor under ADA 609.4, and the installed bar has to hold 250 lb at any point under ADA 609.8.
