Soap type narrows the list first, since liquid, gel sanitizer, and powdered soap each need a matching dispenser. Installers should keep the pump or push point inside the reach ranges of ADA Section 308. With an unobstructed forward reach, that is no higher than 48 in. and no lower than 15 in. above the floor.
