ASI 0010

The ASI 0010 is a surface-mounted corner shower seat for locker rooms, dormitory showers, and hotel baths where a seat is wanted in the corner of the stall. The seat, its support brackets, and the retainer clip are all type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish. The seat measures 15-3/4 in. by 15-3/4 in. (400 x 400 mm).

One edge of the seat is secured to the wall on a full length piano hinge; the other edge rests on a bracket on the adjoining wall. A retainer clip holds the seat in position. Stainless steel throughout stands up to constant water and daily cleaning, and the two-wall support spreads the load into both walls of the corner.

ASI lists the 0010 as ADA compliant. In a transfer or roll-in shower, ADA 610.3 puts the top of the seat 17 to 19 in. above the floor and ADA 610.4 calls for a 250 lb load at any point; set the hinge and bracket heights to land in that range. Folding L-shaped and rectangular seats are listed separately for showers that need a wall-mounted seat rather than a corner one.
