ASI 140

The ASI 140 is a recessed soap dish for showers and lavatories where a bar of soap needs a home that does not project into the room. It mounts from behind the wall (chase mount) and is drawn from 16 gauge type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish. The dish measures 7-3/8 x 6 x 3 in. (187 x 152 x 76 mm) and needs a wall opening of at least 6-1/2 x 5 x 2-3/4 in. (165 x 127 x 70 mm).

One-piece drawn construction means there are no seams to trap water or catch a cloth during cleaning. The beveled trim finishes the edge of the wall opening. Embossments in the base keep air moving under the bar and let water drain, so the soap does not sit in a puddle. Two T nuts welded to the back take the mounting bolts from the chase side. Nothing on the face of the unit is exposed for a user to loosen or pry.

Rear fastening suits shower rooms, locker rooms, correctional and institutional restrooms, and any wet area where the wall chase is open during construction. Confirm that the chase will be accessible at installation, since this unit is fastened from the back.
