Bobrick B-4354

The Bobrick B-4354 is a partition-mounted sanitary napkin disposal in the ConturaSeries that installs through a toilet partition and opens to the compartments on both sides. Made of satin-finish stainless steel, it fits partitions 1/2 to 1 1/4 in. thick. The removable receptacle holds 0.7 gal. (2.7 L), and the rough partition opening is 11 in. wide by 9 3/8 in. high (280 x 240 mm).

Each side has a self-closing door that pulls down with less than 5 lbs (22.2 N) of force, then returns to cover the opening. The leak-proof plastic receptacle lifts out for emptying, and one unit serves both sides. The custodian never reaches into the waste, in keeping with OSHA bloodborne pathogen practices.

The pull-down force is under the 5 lbf operating limit in ADA 309.4, and Bobrick lists the unit as ADA compliant. Mount the doors within the 15 to 48 in. reach range of ADA 308 where a compartment is accessible. Partition mounting keeps the compartment walls clear and reduces the number of disposals a multi-stall restroom needs.
