Bradley 8120-001180

The Bradley 8120-001180 is an 18 in. straight commercial grab bar from the 812 Series, built for accessible toilet compartments, showers, and tub surrounds. It is formed from 18 gauge stainless steel with a satin finish, has a 1-1/2 in. outside diameter, and surface mounts with concealed mounting hardware. The 18 in. length fits short wall runs, tub decks, and shower control walls where a longer bar will not fit.

Concealed mounting means no exposed flange screws on the finished wall, which gives a cleaner look and leaves fewer edges for grime or tampering. The heavy-duty stainless construction stands up to daily cleaning chemicals in a public restroom. Bradley lists this bar as Buy American Act compliant, which matters on federally funded projects. A peened finish version with Safety Grip texture is made for wet areas and is listed separately.

Bradley rates the 812 Series to support up to 250 lb, and the company states that properly mounted 812 Series bars meet ANSI A117.1, ADAAG, and UFAS. The 1-1/2 in. diameter falls inside the 1-1/4 to 2 in. range in ADA 609.2, and installation into solid blocking is what lets the bar carry the 250 lb load in ADA 609.8.
