Gamco 100SX18

The Gamco 100SX18 is an 18 in. (455mm) straight commercial grab bar from the 100 Series, Gamco's 1 in. (25mm) diameter line. The tube is fabricated from type 304 stainless steel, exposed surfaces are polished to a #4 satin finish, and it mounts on concealed snap flanges. Use it where the accessory schedule calls for a 1 in. bar on a tub, shower, or short wall run.

With a snap flange, the mounting plate is screwed to the wall and the flange cover snaps over it, so the finished bar shows no fasteners and there is nothing for a vandal to remove. Type 304 stainless steel stands up to daily cleaning chemicals in a wet room.

Gamco makes the 100 Series in 18 in. and 24 in. standard lengths, and the 24 in. bar is listed separately. Note that ADA 609.2 calls for a gripping surface between 1-1/4 and 2 in. in diameter, so a 1 in. bar should be checked against the project's accessibility requirements before it goes in an accessible compartment. For accessible stalls, Gamco's 125 Series (1-1/4 in.) and 150 Series (1-1/2 in.) bars use the same construction.
