Gamco 125-SWING-UP

The Gamco 125-SWING-UP is a swing up commercial grab bar for ambulatory stalls, patient toilets, and any restroom where a fixed side bar would block a transfer. It projects 29 15/16 in. (760mm) from the wall and stands 11 13/16 in. (300mm) high, on a 1-1/4 in. (32mm) diameter stainless steel tube. The tubing is type 304 stainless steel with exposed surfaces polished to a #4 satin finish.

The bar is assembled into a swivel hinge and folds up against the wall. A detent holds the bar in the vertical position, so it stays put until someone pulls it down, and a knurled grip on the tube gives a sure hold with wet hands. The back plate is a one-piece stainless steel design, 3/16 in. (4.5mm) thick.

The 1-1/4 in. diameter falls inside the 1-1/4 to 2 in. gripping surface range in ADA 609.2, and ADA 609.8 requires the installed bar to withstand a 250 lb load. Other versions are listed separately.
