Gamco 100SX24

Gamco's 100SX24 is the 24 in. (610mm) length of the 100 Series straight grab bar, built on a 1 in. (25mm) diameter stainless steel tube. It is fabricated from type 304 stainless steel with a #4 satin finish on all exposed surfaces, and it installs with concealed snap flanges. The longer of the two standard lengths, it spans a tub wall or shower wall in a single bar.

Snap flange mounting means the installer anchors the flange to the wall and then snaps the cover on, so no screw heads are visible. The polished type 304 tube tolerates daily cleaning with commercial restroom chemicals and keeps its satin look. Because the 1 in. tube is slimmer than a standard accessible-stall bar, it also suits residential-style bathrooms and locker room showers.

ADA 609.2 sets the gripping surface for an accessible grab bar at 1-1/4 to 2 in. in diameter, so confirm that a 1 in. bar meets the project's accessibility schedule before specifying it for an accessible compartment.
