Bradley 8320-001180

Bradley 8320-001180 is an 18 in. commercial grab bar in the 832 Series, the 1-1/4 in. outside diameter line with concealed mounting. The tube is 18 gauge stainless steel in a satin finish and surface mounts to the wall. Architects choose the 1-1/4 in. diameter where the accessory schedule calls for it, and the 18 in. length fits tub and shower positions or a short wall.

Concealed mounting puts the fasteners under the bar ends rather than on an exposed flange, so the finished installation shows only satin stainless. That also removes the screw heads that get worked loose in high-abuse restrooms. The satin finish cleans with the same products used on the rest of the stainless accessories in the room. Bradley's specifications list the bar as Buy American Act compliant.

Bradley rates the 832 Series to support up to 250 lb and states that properly mounted bars meet ANSI A117.1, ADAAG, and UFAS. A 1-1/4 in. bar is at the lower end of the 1-1/4 to 2 in. gripping surface range in ADA 609.2, and anchored into blocking it can carry the 250 lb load in ADA 609.8.
