Bradley 8320-001240

At 24 in. long, the Bradley 8320-001240 is the 832 Series commercial grab bar sized for shower walls and tub surrounds. It carries the series' 1-1/4 in. outside diameter, 18 gauge stainless steel construction, and satin finish, and it surface mounts on concealed hardware.

With concealed mounting, the wall plates and screws are covered by the bar ends, so there is no exposed hardware to loosen or catch dirt. The heavy-duty stainless tube shrugs off cleaning chemicals and the knocks that come with mop buckets and carts. Bradley marks the bar Buy American Act compliant, which simplifies specification on government-funded projects.

Bradley rates the 832 Series to support up to 250 lb and states that a properly mounted bar meets ANSI A117.1, ADAAG, and UFAS. The 1-1/4 in. diameter satisfies ADA 609.2, and mounting at 33 to 36 in. above the finished floor into solid blocking meets the height and 250 lb strength requirements in ADA 609.4 and 609.8.
