Bradley 8322-001360

Bradley's 8322-001360 is the 36 in. peened Safety Grip commercial grab bar in the 832 Series. Built from 18 gauge stainless steel with a 1-1/4 in. outside diameter, it surface mounts with concealed hardware. The 36 in. length is the minimum for a rear-wall bar in an accessible toilet compartment under ADA 604.5.2, which makes this the size that goes behind the water closet.

The peened texture is formed into the stainless surface, so it will not chip or wear off the way an applied coating can. Concealed mounting leaves no exposed flange screws, which is a clean look for the architect and one less thing for a maintenance crew to tighten. Bradley lists the bar as Buy American Act compliant.

Bradley rates the 832 Series to support up to 250 lb, and the company states that properly mounted 832 Series bars meet ANSI A117.1, ADAAG, and UFAS. Set the top of the gripping surface 33 to 36 in. above the finished floor per ADA 609.4 and anchor into blocking so the bar carries the 250 lb load in ADA 609.8.
