ASI 8205-L

The ASI 8205-L is a left hand L-shaped folding shower seat for roll-in and transfer showers in hospitals, senior living, hotels, and locker rooms. The frame, support legs, flanges, and bracket are type 304 stainless steel in a satin finish, and the seat cushion is covered in off-white Naugahyde. The seat is 33 in. (838 mm) wide and projects 22-7/8 in. (581 mm) from the wall when folded down.

The L shape gives a longer seating surface along the back wall than a rectangular seat. Left hand is the hand of the L; choose it to match the stall layout, and the right hand version is listed separately. Against the wall in the folded position it takes up 18 in. by 34-3/8 to 36-3/8 in. and still projects 22-7/8 in. (457 x 873 to 924 x 581 mm). The padded cover is made for the physically disabled and elderly users the seat is intended for.

ASI states the seat meets ADA Accessibility Guidelines. The mounting range puts the seat top 17 to 19 in. above the floor as ADA 610.3 requires, and ADA 610.4 calls for a 250 lb load at any point on the seat.
