ASI 8205-R

Right hand version of ASI's L-shaped padded folding shower seat, the ASI 8205-R serves accessible showers laid out for a right hand seat. Seat width is 33 in. (838 mm) with a 22-7/8 in. (581 mm) projection from the wall. Stainless steel type 304 with a satin finish makes up the frame, support legs, flanges, and bracket; the cushion is covered in off-white Naugahyde.

When not in use the seat folds up to an 18 in. by 34-3/8 to 36-3/8 in. footprint on the wall (457 x 873 to 924 mm). Down, it spans 33 in. across the back wall with the top of the seat mounted between 17 and 19 in. above the floor. The padded cover gives a softer surface than bare stainless steel for elderly and disabled users, which is the population ASI designed the seat for.

ASI reports the seat meets ADA Accessibility Guidelines. ADA 610 requires a folding seat in a transfer shower, sets the seat top at 17 to 19 in. (610.3), and requires a 250 lb load rating (610.4). The left hand version is listed separately.
