Gamco 150SX36

The Gamco 150SX36 is a 36 in. (915mm) straight commercial grab bar from the 150 Series, built on a 1-1/2 in. (38mm) diameter tube. The tubing is fabricated from type 304 stainless steel, exposed surfaces are polished to a #4 satin finish, and the bar mounts on concealed snap flanges. The 36 in. length is the minimum rear-wall bar for an accessible toilet compartment under ADA 604.5.2.

Snap flanges cover the mounting screws once the bar is up, so the wall shows a clean ring with nothing to unscrew. Type 304 stainless holds up to daily cleaning chemicals. A -T suffix adds a non-slip safety-textured grip for showers and other wet locations.

The 1-1/2 in. diameter is within the 1-1/4 to 2 in. range set by ADA 609.2, and ADA 609.8 requires the installed bar to withstand a 250 lb load. Gamco makes the 150 Series in standard lengths from 12 to 48 in., and the other lengths and the textured-grip version are listed separately.
