Bobrick Shower Accessories

Bobrick shower accessories cover the wet side of a locker room, hotel bath, or rehab shower. Folding shower seats lead the range, from the reversible B-5181 in ivory phenolic to the vinyl-coated B-518116 bathtub seat, which is 15 in. wide and rests on the end of a tub. Shower curtain rods come in satin finish from 36 to 72 in. wide. Concealed mounting, heavy-duty, and extra-heavy-duty rods are listed, plus a curved rod in satin chrome. Opaque matte white vinyl curtains such as the 204-2 hang from bright polished hooks. Surface-mounted towel bars in square or round bar, a towel shelf, a toiletry shelf, soap dishes, and a door bumper finish the room. Metal finishes are satin and bright polished stainless steel, with the curved rod in satin chrome. Architects, facility managers, and hospitality purchasing teams specify this range where water and heavy use meet.

Start with the seat, because it carries the accessibility requirement. ADA Section 608.4 requires a folding or non-folding seat in a transfer type shower compartment. Under Section 610.3 the top of the seat sits 17 to 19 in. above the bathroom finish floor and extends to within 3 in. of the compartment entry. Section 610.4 calls for a 250 pound force at any point on the seat, fastener, mounting device, and supporting structure. Wall blocking belongs in the plan. Bobrick lists ADA compliant models in this range. Then size the rod to the opening and pick a curtain to suit. Choose the recessed B-4380 soap dish for tile or a surface-mounted dish for a renovation.
