Capacity is the first thing to read on a Bobrick waste receptacle, since the models here hold anywhere from 3 gal. to 21 gal. Satin surface-mounted units range between 6.4 gal. and 20 gal., and the 12.75 gal. B-277 adds LinerMate. Recessed options come in satin and matte black, including 12 gal. versions of each. Floor-standing models come with an open top, a spring-loaded top, or a black domed top. Some models carry a series name: TrimLineSeries, ClassicSeries, ConturaSeries, or Fino Collection. Specifiers often match a receptacle to the towel dispenser above it, while floor-standing units serve lobbies.

For a multi-stall office or school restroom serviced daily, a 12 gal. receptacle is the common spec. The matte black B-35649.MBLK brings that size to a surface-mounted body. High-traffic restrooms can move to a floor-standing unit such as the 21 gal. B-2280. Surface-mounted units also need a projection check. ADA Section 307.2 applies to objects more than 27 in. and not more than 80 in. above the floor. In a circulation path, they may protrude no more than 4 in. Recessed receptacles such as the B-3644 keep the bin out of that path. Bobrick's ADA compliant listing appears on some models here, not all.
