ASI Waste Receptacles

ASI waste receptacles are stainless steel from top to bottom. Capacities in the model descriptions run from the 2 gal. surface-mounted 0827 to the 18 gal. semi-recessed 0458-DX. The Traditional collection covers wall units, the 0829 corner receptacle, and circular countertop waste chutes in 6 and 9 in. sizes. Simplicity adds recessed and semi-recessed cabinets. Roval brings a removable semi-recessed receptacle plus a surface unit with a closed top and push door. The freestanding 0834-T has a dual swing top, and the 7317 opens with a pedal activated cover in a bright finish.

Size the bin to the traffic, then fit it to the wall. A 12 gal. receptacle such as the 0826 is the common pick for a multi-stall office or school restroom serviced daily. Busy public restrooms step up to 18 gal. Depth matters as much as capacity. The 0458 projects 4 in. from a 4 in. recess, while the 0458-CX projects 1/2 in. from a 7-1/2 in. recess. ADA 307.2 limits objects with leading edges more than 27 in. and not more than 80 in. above the floor to 4 in. of protrusion. Even with an ADA compliant listing on most ASI receptacles, check each projection against its mounting height.
