ASI Sanitary Napkin Disposals

ASI sanitary napkin disposals cover the three mountings a toilet compartment calls for. Surface-mounted units hang on a wall or partition, recessed units sit flush in a framed opening, and partition-mounted dual access units work through a cutout in the panel. Every body is stainless steel. The Roval line spans all three mountings, including the 20472 dual access unit. The 6471 is a recessed Simplicity disposal, and the 0852-41 puts a matte black finish on a surface-mounted body. Architects, facility managers, and restroom contractors specify these for women's and all-gender compartments.

Let the compartment layout decide. A partition-mounted unit such as the 0472 serves two compartments through one cutout, which means fewer units to service. Recessed models need a framed opening, while surface-mounted models go on a finished wall and suit retrofits. Keep the disposal clear of the grab bar. ADA Section 609.3 requires 12 in. minimum between a grab bar and a projecting object above it, and 1-1/2 in. minimum below it and at its ends. The ASI ADA compliant listing does not set that placement; the installer does.
